Colin here! My fascination with the night sky took me to a corner of the internet that I think everyone could enjoy, providing the weather stays somewhat clear. Following the Perseid Meteor Shower that skimmed our fine planet last week, I was curious as to what else could be seen on a clear night. I found this site, which can tell you the current location of The International Space Station. Over 260 miles above us, it can be seen with the naked eye quite easily, if only for a few minutes at a time. Have yourself a pair of binoculars, or a telescope? Even better! I’m going to be keeping an eye out for a period when it transits the moon, as that would be a sight indeed. Inspiration through ingenuity, all those folks involved in the space program are never far from my mind.
